Low Down, Gardening, Cooking, Music
December 2 @ 9:30 am - 10:40 am
An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Thursday, repeating indefinitely
This program hour changes each week!
Low Down: The purpose of Low Down is to keep our Aphasia Center members, family, friends, and board informed of all activities and upcoming opportunities at the center. Attend Low Down at 9:30 AM on the first Tuesday of every month at the center for Aphasia Center news, community, and breakfast burritos!
Gardening: The second Tuesday of every month is gardening! From our raised beds out back to potted plants inside, come get your hands dirty and language flowing while gardening. Members plan, plant, and maintain all of the plants at the Aphasia Center while building reading and writing skills. Adaptive equipment is available.
Cooking: Join us the third Tuesday of every month to cook a delicious meal with fellow members. Engage in conversation with friends, practice reading recipes, and follow instructions to make lunch for members and staff. Adaptive equipment is available.
Music: Members gather on the fourth Tuesday of every month to sing familiar songs alongside our amazing pianist volunteer Joan. You will learn to express yourself through rhythm and melody while gaining emotional support and confidence.
