Join us on Monday mornings for Speak Your Mind! This group provides an opportunity for engaging in conversation and the sharing of personal opinions and experiences of current events and “hot topics”, while practicing communication skills in a supported and communicatively accessible way.
Members compete in a variety of different games to stimulate language, build self-confidence, and partake in a little friendly competition. Some games we love to play include: golf card game, left-right-center, Jenga, and dominoes.
This program offering is about personal goals. Join us in our technology lab where members utilize aphasia-specific software that suit their varying needs and interests. You can work on reading, spelling, word retrieval, and comprehension as well as emailing, Zooming, and many other leisure activities.

Low Down: The purpose of Low Down is to keep our Aphasia Center members, family, friends, and board informed of all activities and upcoming opportunities at the center. Attend Low Down at 9:30 AM on the first Tuesday of every month at the center for Aphasia Center news, community, and breakfast burritos!

The second Tuesday of every month is gardening! From our raised beds out back to potted plants inside, come get your hands dirty and language flowing while gardening. Members plan, plant, and maintain all of the plants at the Aphasia Center while building reading and writing skills. Adaptive equipment is available.
