Aphasia robs people of their ability to speak, read and write, causing most to lose their jobs. The effects can be traumatic and overwhelming, often leaving individuals affected by aphasia and their families with a sense of hopelessness.
For twenty years, the Aphasia Center has served the Permian Basin community and become a lifeline for aphasia survivors and their families. This is only possible because of the generosity of our foundation and corporate partners, as well as private donors like YOU.
Recently, we’ve noticed an increased demand for our services. At one point this year, our scholarship needs had risen to 63% over last year, with more need predicted in the coming year. In response, we created the Speak Up! Sustainers Circle, an exceptional group of monthly donors who invest in a variety of the Center’s highest needs.
